About Community Advocacy

Community advocates provide drop-in, on-site, and over-the-phone crisis intervention, safety planning, address confidentiality program application assistance, and referral services for community members experiencing intimate partner domestic violence. Tangible needs such as toiletries, household items, transportation assistance, and more is also provided dependent on availability.

Can I create a safety plan at the YWCA?

Yes, community advocates are available to help you create a safety plan.

Can I come to the YWCA for help in-person?

We offer drop-in hours Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am-2:00pm. Outside of those hours, you can call to schedule an appointment with a community advocate.

Can I get toiletries, household items, or transportation help from the YWCA?

Toiletries, hygiene items, bus cards, and other tangible goods are offered dependent on availability.

Can I apply for the Address Confidentiality Program (ACP)?

Yes, our community advocates can assist you with your ACP application.
