Weekly facilitated support groups offer healing, education, and peer support to survivors of intimate partner violence. Participants explore various relationship dynamics, rebuild self-esteem, and develop a positive support network.

Legal
The YWCA Legal Program helps survivors of intimate partner violence understand and navigate the civil legal system, including domestic violence protection orders and family law cases that are in Pierce County Superior Court.

Shelter
YWCA Pierce County provides safe and confidential emergency shelter for survivors of intimate partner domestic violence and their children. Our shelter program includes up to 90 days of housing in apartment-style living spaces, on-site staff to offer comprehensive support services, and is one of the only shelters in the area to allow pets.

Teen Dating Violence Prevention
Our YWCA Prevention team visits middle and high schools in the community and educates teens and young adults about relationships through a curriculum called Healthy Love. Here, teens and young adults can learn the red flags and green flags in relationships and get connected to resources if they are experiencing dating violence.
